Thank you for choosing to apply for a position within the Office of Housing and Residence Life at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point! The Housing and Residence Front Desk Assistant student position is responsible for providing quality customer service support for the Housing and Residence Life office. This includes greeting and directing visitors, handling phone lines, voicemails, and emails, and answering routine housing questions. This position also provides general office support for staff members including processing housing applications, scheduling appointments, running errands, filing and photocopying, and opening/closing the office. Special projects and tasks may also be assigned. Work hours vary based on availability and need, but individual(s) would be working during office business hours (8 a.m.- 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday). At this time, we are most interested in staffing 8am-4pm daily. Qualifications: Applicants must be enrolled full time as a student. Applicants must be able to demonstrate good customer service skills, leadership abilities, and have basic computer knowledge. Preference given to applicants with previous experience with the Housing and Residence Life department, specifically regarding the StarRez software and who have lived on campus for at least one semester prior to employment. Pay Rate: $9.00 per hour. On average, students work approximately 10-15 hours per week during the academic year (depending on their availability).
