Housing Authority Technical Services CoordinatorWe have an opening for a dedicated, hard-working person to join our Technical Services team at The Housing Authority for LaSalle County. We have a fast-paced and diverse environment. The right candidate will possess skills in some or all of the following:Knowledge and Abilities:
  • Computer and peripheral equipment technology, hardware and software applications and modern office procedures and equipment
  • In-house and remote computer networking hardware and software applications
  • Sound principles and practices of computer troubleshooting
  • Materials and supplies related to electrical, plumbing, HVAC and grounds maintenance and inventory systems.
  • Grant program requirements, contract documents and procurement practices
  • Principles and procedures related to inventory control and the purchasing of building and maintenance equipment and office equipment and supplies.
  • Capital Equipment tracking
Ability to:
  • Troubleshoot computer software and hardware problems
  • Utilize computer software, including agency specific applications to gather data, compile information, produce reports and implement tracking systems.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Be decisive, solve problems and prioritize work issues
  • Understand and carry out oral and written instructions
  • Learn and become proficient with the Agency's current software
  • Research and resolve discrepancies and problems with material orders
  • Understand, interpret and communicate the Agency's policies and procedures
  • Organize and maintain a variety of related records and files
  • Maintain effective interpersonal skills for interacting with others and maintaining cooperative working relationships with supervisors, co-workers and business associates
The right candidate will be adept with computers, have a professional appearance, be personally as well as professionally organized, a great communicator, a team player, and possess a Can do attitude. We need a person that has energy and initiative, has follow-through, will complete tasks and can work with minimal supervision.We are offering Full Time employment, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM with excellent benefits.Applicants will be screened with a background check, drug screen, and driving history report.
