Job opportunity as a housekeeper in Tupelo. Specific task clean rooms & baths, to meet standards, strip & remove all soiled linens from room and bath; replace with clean. Make beds to standards. Check refrigerator and microwave for trash; remove and clean. Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and/or draperies, using vacuum cleaners and/or shampooers. Empty wastebaskets. Sweep, scrub, wax, and/or polish floors, using brooms, mops, and/or powered scrubbing and waxing machines. Dust and polish furniture and equipment. Polish silver accessories and metalwork such as fixtures and fittings. Replace light bulbs. Replenish supplies such as drinking glasses, linens, writing supplies, and bathroom items. Wash windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork, waxing and polishing as necessary. Request repair services when needed. Disinfect equipment and supplies, using germicides or steam-operated sterilizers. Dust draperies, window blinds and sills. Move and arrange furniture, and turn mattresses. Observe precautions required to protect hotel and guest property, and report damage, theft, and found articles to supervisors. Clear messages from telephones. Check drawers and closets for left behind items, turn all lost and found items into your manager.
