Housekeeping Assistant- Labor & Delivery - Mount Sinai Health System : Job Details

Cleans patient rooms after vaginal deliveries, separating/removing waste as per policy. - Cleans operating rooms after each case and performs terminal cleaning as per policy. - Transports specimens, using specimen logbook in a timely manner. - Transports, discharges patients in a timely manner. - Adheres to Standard Precautions in the performance of daily activities. - Cleans wheelchairs after each patient use. - Passes and picks up meal trays as requested. - Monitors use of cleaning supplies, advises supervisor with reordering needs. - Maintains linen cart organized, neat, and covered. - Maintains cleanliness of patient pantry areas, lounges, restrooms, call rooms and offices daily. - Is knowledgeable and adheres to infant abduction prevention program. - Follows Bereavement policy.
