Housekeeper - Household Staffing : Job Details

Full-Time Housekeeper - Private Family Relocating from Paris to Miami Start Date: August 1, 2025. Location: Miami, FL Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30am - 3:30pm (40 hours per week) Compensation: $25-$30/hr A private family of five (with children ages 14, 11, and 2.5) is relocating from Paris to Miami and is seeking a long-term, experienced housekeeper to support their transition and help maintain a clean, organized, and well-functioning home. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, speaks English well, and has experience managing the day-to-day needs of a busy household. Flexibility, professionalism, and the ability to work independently are essential. Primary Responsibilities:

• General daily housekeeping, including cleaning of bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and common areas
• Laundry: washing, drying, folding, and daily ironing of clothing and household linens
• Bed making and changing sheets on a regular schedule
• Light tidying and organizing of items such as toys, shoes, and clothing
• Kitchen upkeep: cleaning surfaces, loading/unloading dishwasher, maintaining cleanliness after meals
• Occasional light cooking, such as preparing breakfast and lunch for the youngest child (age 2.5)
• Unpacking groceries, maintaining pantry and fridge organization
• Monitoring household supplies and restocking or reporting when items are low
• Occasional childcare support, such as school lunch prep or pickup for the youngest child (as needed and agreed)
• Occasional errands, including taking dry cleaning
• Light exterior upkeep, such as sweeping patios or entryways

Requirements:

• Fluent English speaker (essential for communication and safety)
• Prior experience as a housekeeper in a private household
• Comfortable working around children and assisting as needed
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleanliness standards
• Experience with marble or tile flooring is a plus
• Must be organized, proactive, and discreet
