Job Location : Lincroft,NJ, USA
Work directly with students and studio arts faculty to provide support with specialized equipment and/or technology and course learning outcomes for painting, drawing, and design classes.
ResponsibilitiesSupervise students during in laboratory/studio experiences supporting student acquisition of knowledge and skills of the course learning outcomes. Assist in the set-up and breakdown of extensive still life arrangements for painting and drawing classes. Monitor the safe and appropriate use of lab/studio equipment and operate the equipment safely. Reinforce classroom instruction in the lab/studio setting. Facilitate student study groups. Provide assistance to students related to equipment and technology. Maintain and repair lab/studio facilities and equipment. Prepare demonstration material for faculty instruction. Recommend purchase of lab studio supplies, material, equipment, and software. Setup and breakdown of studio equipment and supplies as required. Assist in conducting student services functions as needed. Collaborate with faculty to schedule open studio/lab experiences. Maintain records of student attendance and performance in open studio/lab and provide input to faculty as appropriate. Proctor special exams as needed. Oversee work study students and student help and coordinate hourly help in the open studio/lab as needed. Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree required in the field of studio arts, painting and drawing, or related field or in limited circumstances, the equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired.
Appropriate licensure/certification will be required in certain departments.
Experience: Relevant work experience desirable.
