Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner - MedStaff National Medical Staffing : Job Details

Medstaff is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for Hospitalist locum coverage in North Carolina during the 2025 holiday season - December through January.

Details:

• Focus: Admissions, consults & co-management of ED holds/admitted patients
• Schedule: Holiday shifts in Dec 2025 - Jan 2026
• Setting: Inpatient only (no ICU, no ED backup)
• Support: 2 MDs & 4 APPs on site
• Avg Load: 8-10 pts/day per APP 4-7 admissions per shift
• Orientation: Required the day before first scheduled shift

Requirements:

• Active NC license, DEA
• BLS & ACLS
• Must be BC NP or PA
• Must be comfortable responding to codes (not in ED)
