Position Overview

Hospital Services Technicians travel between healthcare facilities to provide proactive collection and exchange of waste containers for programs such as Sharps Management, Pharmaceutical Waste, Controlled Substances, and Document Management. Services are scheduled regularly at assigned facilities.

Schedule and Locations
  • Monday: Virginia Mason (Seattle)
  • Tuesday: UW Northwest Campus (Seattle)
  • Wednesday: Virginia Mason (Seattle)
  • Thursday: Evergreen Kirkland (Kirkland)
  • Friday: Providence Everett
Key Responsibilities
  • Travel between healthcare facilities to monitor, collect, and exchange waste containers for various programs.
  • Interact professionally with onsite staff to meet or exceed service expectations.
  • Maintain a strict collection and service schedule.
  • Communicate duty status as scheduled.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience; customer service experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and tactful customer service abilities.
  • Mandatory immunizations and credentialing may be required based on client needs.
  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation for travel between sites.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency with computer and handheld software applications, including spreadsheets, to track KPIs.
