Job Description

Hospital Services Technicians travel between customer healthcare facilities, providing on-site proactive collection and exchange of waste containers for various Stericycle programs, including but not limited to: Sharps Management Service, Pharmaceutical Waste, Controlled Substances, and Document Management. This service is provided at regularly scheduled intervals for assigned facilities.

Work Schedule

The ideal candidate will work Monday, Wednesday, and Friday starting at 5:00am.

Key Job Activities

Travel between customer healthcare facilities to monitor, collect, and exchange waste containers for various programs and services, including but not limited to: Sharps Management Service, Pharmaceutical Waste, Controlled Substances, and Document Management.

Interact professionally with onsite customer staff to ensure service expectations are met or exceeded.

Maintain a rigid collection and service schedule.

Communicate duty status on a defined schedule.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Experience and Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2+ years of related experience; customer service experience preferred, or the equivalent in related work experience.
• Strong communication skills and tact in providing superior customer service in various settings.
• Mandatory immunizations and credentialing may be required based on customer requirements.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel between facilities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of computer and handheld software applications, including spreadsheets and KPI tracking applications.
