Job SummaryOur client is seeking a dedicated Hospice Triage Nurse to join their team. The primary responsibilities include telephone triage, managing walk-in patient assessments, and supporting the specialist team with pre-op and post-hospital considerations. Your role will encompass administrative and clinical duties in an office setting.
Responsibilities / Job Duties - Office setting within a doctor's office.
- Conduct triage over the phone and for walk-ins.
- Handle forms and documentation for doctors.
- Work alongside other RNs in the dispensary/pharmacy.
- Assist with pre-op and post-hospital assessments.
- Perform telephone assessments prior to hospital visits.
- Manage daily diagnostic tests and lab results with patients.
- Handle an average of 50 inbound and outbound calls per RN per day.
- Engage in clinical side tasks such as wound care, injections, and administering vaccines.
- 80% of duties are administrative, 20% clinical.
- Use EMR System - Next Gen for documentation.
Qualifications - Bilingual Spanish skills are a significant plus.
- Ability to quickly identify and address patient needs.
- Initiative and quick learning ability.
- Strong suitability for the role, including new graduates aiming for long-term commitments.
Schedule / ShiftFlexible hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with potential shifts between 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, or 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
