Hospice Residential Aide - Northwell Health : Job Details

Under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse, assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care, and assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment. Job Responsibility Assists patients with hygiene, grooming and activities of daily living (bed bath, sponge, tub, shower, hair shampoo, nail and skin care, shaving, oral hygiene and assistance with dressing, laundry, etc.). Assists with restorative nursing procedures (i.e range of motion). Responds to patient call lights. Assists in the admission, transfer and discharge of patients. Ensures patients' nutritional needs are met by assembling meal trays, heating up food, preparing snacks, feeding patients and meal clean up, as needed. Offers patients adequate fluids and records fluid intake, as required.
