With a strong emphasis on technical excellence and quality claims outcomes, we are seeking an experienced Home Office Claims Examiner to support high-severity commercial general liability claims across a national book.

This is a pivotal role that blends complex claims oversight with leadership in claims strategy, quality assurance, litigation management, and reinsurance reporting.

• Provide expert guidance and oversight on high-value general liability claims, including serious injury and complex damage exposures

• Advise on policy limit demands, pre-trial strategies, and nuanced coverage issues

• Review and approve reserves and claim payments exceeding field office authority

• Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in large loss reporting and file handling

• Handle select complex claims directly, maintaining strategic control and resolution integrity

• Collaborate with regional teams to drive best practices and consistent claims outcomes

• Serve as a key participant in Loss Review Committees and Home Office quality audits

• Ensure timely and accurate reinsurance notifications and documentation

• 10+ years of experience in commercial P&C claims, with a strong focus on general liability

• Proven ability to manage and resolve high-severity or high-exposure claims

• Excellent skills in coverage analysis, litigation management, and claims strategy

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail

• Ability to work collaboratively across departments and influence claims quality and consistency

• Knowledge of reinsurance protocols and reporting practices

• Designations such as CPCU, AIC, or SCLA preferred

• Base Salary: $80,000 to $88,000
