Base pay range

$24.50/hr - $26.50/hr

Title: Home Delivered Meals CoordinatorDepartment: Nutrition and Senior CentersFLSA Status: Non-ExemptReports To: Home Delivered Meals and Transportation Program ManagerSummary: Acts as the site in charge of the Home Delivered Meals (HDM) Distribution Center and oversees the day-to-day operations of the HDM Program.Essential Functions

• Coordinates and supervises the day-to-day operations of the Home Delivered Meals Program and home-delivered groceries and ensures compliance with food safety regulations and policies.
• Supervises consumer assessments, surveys, and referrals. Updates client data and status in CA Get Care.
• Ensures the employee roster is prepared for efficient meal deliveries.
• Provides quality services to new and existing clients and makes referrals to other departments and agencies.
• Supervises and evaluates staff and provides counseling and guidance as needed.
• Issues orders to caterers/vendors for hot meals, frozen meals, milk, and fruits.
• Maintains a filing system, service records, and client records and collects data to prepare reports.
• Represents the agency/department to attend meetings/audits and events of other community organizations.
• Intakes new clients according to the priority in the CA Get Care waiting list to fill the openings in routes.
• Prepares HDM outreach strategies and outreach materials for the target population.
• Ensures hot meals and supplies are delivered to congregate meal sites on time.
• Submits invoices and gasoline receipts to head office for payment processing.
• Holds regular staff meetings and in-service training.
• Develops resources to support program operation and recommend operational improvements.
• Supports agency/department fundraising and activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Psychology, or Human Services related field; and two years of supervisory and program operation experience.
• One year of experience working with older adults and adults with disabilities.
• Good interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Must be bilingual in English and Chinese.
• Proficient in MS Office and the Internet.
• Must have and maintain a valid CA driver's license and automobile insurance as specified in Self-Help's policies.
