Position: Home Based Family Worker

Description:

$1000 Sign-on Bonus

The Home Based Family Worker will work with youth and their families experiencing psychological, behavioral, or emotional distress. Referred by the Division for Children, Youth, and Families, the role involves providing family preservation and reunification services. The goal is to strengthen families, prevent abuse, neglect, and unsafe behaviors by enhancing skills, well-being, and support systems. Participation in this voluntary program requires family engagement for success.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide trauma-focused in-home behavioral and clinical services for youth and families
  • Work intensively with families in their homes for 3-6 months
  • Develop treatment plans, crisis management, and crisis interventions
  • Coordinate with collateral agencies and programs
  • Identify and utilize community resources to support growth
  • Advocate for families and help parents develop advocacy skills
  • Network with family members and community providers for positive outcomes
  • Apply treatment modalities aligned with program goals and client needs
  • Demonstrate cultural awareness and sensitivity
  • Maintain professional conduct and ethics
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Counseling, or related field
  • Self-directed, motivated, and problem-solving abilities
  • Successful teamwork skills
  • Effective utilization of supervision
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in child welfare, protection, or juvenile justice
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail
  • Sound judgment in clinical situations
  • Integrity, credibility, and commitment to client success
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google applications, with ability to learn new software
  • Valid driver's license for travel, mileage reimbursed

Pay Range: $65,000 - $66,000 per year, depending on experience
