40Summary:
HIM Outpatient Coding Coordinator works closely with the Coding Manager and staff to plan, coordinate, and execute small projects within the coding area. The role aims to improve the accuracy, integrity, and quality of patient data by assisting with outpatient monthly quality monitoring. Responsibilities include researching ICD-10 and CPT coding regulatory changes and rules, preparing educational materials, and supporting outpatient quality monitoring. The coordinator may help reeducate staff, train new processes, and assist with onboarding and training of outpatient coding staff. Maintaining current knowledge of coding rules and regulatory changes affecting ICD-10 and CPT coding is essential. The role promotes teamwork, fosters interdisciplinary relationships, and provides excellent customer service.Education & Experience:Certification/Licensure:
