High School Student Phlebotomist - PRN - Baptist Health : Job Details

Performs the collection of blood and body specimens from hospital inpatients and outpatients.

Job Duties:

• Performs venipuncture, fingerstick and heel stick.
• Accurately collects specimens from the proper patient for the correct test.
• Maintains stock for collection areas and/or carts.
• Performs point of care tests and reports results to appropriate personnel.
• Prints outpatient identification labels.
• Verifies collection and receipt of specimens and results point of care tests.

Requirements:

• Must be a High School student age 16 or older enrolled in a medical career and technical education program.
• No experience is required.
• BLS is required.
