The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with our Safe Schools Atrium Coordinator, in a busy environment, to keep students safe. This is a school year position with benefits, with a starting salary of $19.05 - $24.99, depending on experience. Position starts immediately, open until filled. This position is governed by the HSS/NEA-NH Union Agreement. This is a school year position with an hourly range of $19.05 to $24.99 depending on education and experience. POSITION TITLE: SCHOOL ENTRY MONITORJob Description Approved By: SAU 70 Date: August 2021 General Purpose: To ensure the safe and orderly entry and exit from the school and the area immediately surrounding the entry point; to work as a team member with the Safe School Atrium Coordinator to promote a safe, orderly, and caring environment. Reports to: Associate Principals Supervises: N/A POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Except as specifically noted, the following functions are considered essential to this position:

  • Monitor and enforce student sign-in and sign-out procedures
  • Welcome and screens all visitors
  • Direct visitors to the appropriate locations
  • Adopt a mindset that is self-aware and sensitive to diverse populations of people in various settings
  • Maintain high visibility at the entry point
  • Monitor student behavior surrounding the entry point and corrects inappropriate behavior in their immediate area
  • Promote tidiness at the entry point
  • Attention to area outside of the entry point
  • Interact effectively with students, parents, staff, and school community
  • Assist with Lost and Found Items
  • Perform other duties and accept responsibilities as assigned
  • Must comply with all SAU 70 District policy and building / department rules, procedures, practices and objectives.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
