High School English Teacher Location: Grace Christian Academy, Merrick, NY

Position Type: Long-term, full-time Start Date: September 2, 2025

Grace Christian Academy, a Christian Classical school committed to nurturing both academic excellence and spiritual growth, is seeking a dynamic and compassionate High School English Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. This is an excellent opportunity for educators who have a passion for young students in a Christ-centered environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction in Literature and English with possible instruction in health, film studies, or other elective.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom atmosphere that aligns with Christian values.
• Integrate Biblical teachings into academic lessons and classroom activities.
• Regularly assess student progress and provide feedback to both students and parents.
• Participate in faculty meetings and school events as required.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support the holistic development of each student.

Qualifications:

• Clear testimony of salvation.
• Good standing membership in a Bible-believing church.
• Strict adherence to the 5 Solas of the Reformation.
• Bachelors degree in virtually any field.
• Desire to teach and disciple 6 th grade students.
• Willingness to be trained in Classical pedagogy.
• Previous experience teaching in home school or corporate school setting is preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• A deep commitment to the mission and values of Christian Classical education.
• Ability to integrate faith into daily lessons and classroom activities.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
