High Power Energy Storage Application Engineer - General Atomics : Job Details

Develop architectures, solutions, and test plans for innovative capacitor designs. Perform thermal and electrical engineering analyses, circuit (LT - Spice or equivalent, MATLAB) and hardware design, introduce test automation, and document test cells. Develop, design, and build unique and specialized test hardware to characterize capacitors and supercapacitors. Actively participate assembly and testing of capacitor and supercapacitor elements, devices, and arrays, develop code to analyze and interpret data, and record findings. Develop large megajoule class energy storage systems using supercapacitors. Participate in the design and selection of capacitors (both film and supercapacitor) for external customers. Communicate findings to stakeholders and deliver technical presentations and reports. Manage technical projects to ensure alignment with schedules, budgets, and organizational goals.
