The School of Medicine at Meharry Medical College is seeking an adult endocrinologist to join our vibrant and rapidly expanding team. This is a full-time appointment in the Department of Internal Medicine at the academic rank of Assistant/Associate/Full Professor level for a tenure/non-tenure track position.
Successful candidates will possess outstanding clinical skills with a strong commitment and experience in patient care and teaching with a strong interest in developing an academic career. The primary duties of the endocrinologist include inpatient and outpatient care, telemedicine, and teaching responsibilities with opportunities for clinical research.
Resources available for professional development include leadership, education, and research, formal mentorship programs, and supported opportunities for teaching and research across multidisciplinary disciplines. Requisite attributes include a commitment to service, a strong sense of teamwork, and a desire to train tomorrow's doctors.
This position requires a medical doctor degree from an accredited college/university, completion of a ACGME approved residency and fellowship program, board certification in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism. All candidates must be eligible for an unrestricted medical license in the State of Tennessee. Academic Rank and Tenure status will be determined based on education and experience.
