Your Day Help Desk Specialist responsibilities may include the following: :
- Walking customers through troubleshooting their computer and software issues over the phone or via email.
- Running diagnostic programs on computers that aren't functioning properly.
- Resolving problems on company network systems in a timely and efficient manner
- Writing training manuals and guides
- Ordering computers, computer accessories, and other equipment.
- Following up with customers to make sure they aren't experiencing any other technical issues.
You will need to have the following: :
- Proven experience as a Help Desk Specialist
- Working knowledge of computer equipment and software
- Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
- Computer Science degree; additional IT qualifications are a plus
