Job DescriptionPosition: Help Desk Support Location: Waukegan, IL 60087 Pay Rate $25.00 - $30.00 per hour. This is a contract to hire opportunity. We are seeking a motivated Help Desk Support Specialist to join our IT team. This role is ideal for candidates looking to develop their technical skills while providing excellent customer service. You will be the first point of contact for end-users, assisting with troubleshooting, resolving hardware/software issues, and escalating more complex problems as needed. You will help set up our internal Service Center by handling trouble tickets, assist employees face - to face, and keep our IT environment running smoothly. Overview of Responsibilities

• Provide onsite support for internal employees and respond to help desk tickets via phone, email, and system.
• Troubleshoot and resolve common hardware, software, and network issues.
• Troubleshoot Windows/Mac OS, Microsoft 365, and mobile devices.
• Support user accounts, password resets, and Microsoft 365 applications.
• Document solutions and escalate complex problems to senior IT staff.
• Report into the IT Manager

Qualifications

• CompTIA A+ or a related certification.
• 1-2 years of help desk or IT support experience.
• Familiar with Windows/Mac OS, Microsoft 365, and ticketing systems.
• Knowledge of firewalls, client/server setups, and network protocols.
• Great personality with strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Associates degree in IT along with the related experience would be a plus
