The American Red Cross relies on volunteers to support local blood drives. Volunteers help ensure a safe, welcoming donor experience and support the blood collection process. This is a volunteer role and an opportunity to give back to your community while gaining hands-on customer service experience with a respected organization.

Overview

Location: Greenville & Piscataquis County, ME. Role: Blood Donor Ambassador (Volunteer). You will be the first and last point of contact for donors at a drive and will help create a positive donor experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent and enthusiastic customer service to enhance the donor experience.
• Engage with blood donors to promote blood donation and encourage ongoing participation.
• Assist donors with post-donation steps, including hydration and monitoring for any reactions.
• Express gratitude and thank donors for their contribution.

Qualifications

• Friendly, customer-service oriented with a desire to volunteer in person.
• Basic computer skills; ability to handle information respectfully and professionally.
• Respectful and supportive attitude toward all donors and drive staff.

Additional Information

You will likely be the first and last person a donor meets at a drive. This role provides valuable hands-on customer service experience with the American Red Cross.
