For additional information about our company, visit our website at POSITION SCOPE The Heavy Equipment Operator position is designated as safety sensitive, emphasizing the importance of adhering to safety protocols at all times. The operator must be proficient in operating machinery such as D8-D9 dozers and 345-352 excavators in accordance with project specifications to ensure efficient and compliant operations. Additionally, the individual will be responsible for the daily servicing and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are maintained throughout the project duration.The equipment operator will need to be highly skilled in navigating and operating machinery in mountainous terrain, which presents unique challenges such as pioneering access to build up extremely steep slopes, uneven surfaces, rocky mountain terrain, and potential for landslides or loose soil. Proper training in mountain-specific safety protocols, equipment handling, and environmental considerations is essential to ensure safe and efficient operations in this rugged environment.30-85% GRADE IN SHEER ROCK CONDITIONS.PRIMARY DUTIESOperate equipment efficiently to maintain production goalsAssist with setup and tear down of plantsPerform general maintenance, repair, and service equipment as required or directed by supervisorGeneral housekeeping of equipment and plant daily or as directed by supervisorIndividuals must be able to lift objects weighing 80 lb. on a regular basisThe use of a shovel to move material will be necessaryPerform all duties within safety guidelines set up by M.S.H.A. and company policyPerform pre-shift inspections on equipment prior to startupPerform other duties as assignedREQUIREMENTSApplicants must be at least 18 years oldHigh school diploma or GEDMinimum of 3+ years' experience with D8-D9 dozers and 345-352 excavatorsMust have GPS experience, Trimble experience preferredMust have experience operating heavy equipment at 30-85% grade on sheer rock conditionsMust be able to pass a Government Background CheckMust hold an M.S.H.A. 5000-23 certificateAble to operate equipment efficiently to maintain project specificationsTeam playerMechanical knowledge of equipment and being able to perform routine maintenanceBasic knowledge of welding and using a cutting torchFlexibility to work overtime or weekends if requiredFisher Industries is an Equal Opportunity Employer.We are a drug-free work environment requiring pre-employment and random drug testing.
