Heat Pipe Assembler - Barnes Group : Job Details

We're looking for a reliable, hands-on individual to join our small assembly team focused on building custom thermal components. As a Heat Pipe Assembler, you'll play a key role in crafting precision-engineered copper heat pipes used in advanced cooling systems. You'll work with copper tubes, thermal pellets, chemical baths, and brazing equipment to assemble each unit to exacting standards. To ensure you're fully prepared, you'll travel to Peabody, MA for training during your first few weeks. All travel expenses are covered. You'll work side-by-side with experienced technicians to learn the process before returning to our Livonia locationCore Responsibilities:Fill copper tubes with specialized materials (thermal pellets)Seal, crimp, and braze the ends of the pipeApply cleaning and chemical baths to prep parts for use or shippingUse hand tools, torches, presses, and measuring devicesInspect components for leaks, fill levels, and proper sealingFollow work instructions and quality standards consistentlyAccurately track completed units and assembly stepsKeep tools, workstations, and materials organized and cleanContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.To ensure you're fully prepared, you'll travel to Peabody, MA for training during your first few weeks.
