We are searching for a talented Hearing Screen-Birth Registrar

Hours: Per Diem

Shift: Day shift with weekend and holiday rotation; 7:00am - 3:30pm

Location: St. Luke's Hospital - New Bedford, MA

**Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 24 hours.

ResponsibilitiesUnder general supervision of the Manager, Patient Care or designee and clinical supervision and direction of a licensed Audiologist perform a variety of duties including but not limited to administer universal hearing screenings as part of the routine newborn care, document results of these screenings, etc. Assist in compiling database of all screening results and enter all screening results into Electronic Birth Certificate (EBC) and update EBC as needed. Responsible for the coordination of the per diem hearing screeners taking into consideration weekend, vacation, holiday coverage and sick calls.Qualifications
  • An Associates Degree in Communication Disorders or related field or the equivalent knowledge or experience is preferred.
  • A minimum of two years related work experience and a minimum of one year of clinical experience in Audiology are preferred.
  • Clinical experience working with infants and their families is also preferred.
  • Must be a Notary Public or become a Notary Public within three (3) months of employment.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.

  • Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.

Pay RangeUSD $15.95 - USD $25.76 /Hr.
