RSM's National Healthcare Consulting practice is seeking a Healthcare Systems Implementation Consultant with a strong focus on Epic Systems to participate in all aspects of the systems development and implementation life cycle. This includes managing customer requirements, system configuration, testing, training, and go-live support. You will also contribute to strategic IT projects such as software selection, Epic optimization, and roadmap development. As a key member of a multidisciplinary team, you will work collaboratively with both client and internal consulting teams to deliver impactful, technology-enabled solutions that support healthcare transformation.
Responsibilities
Contribute to IT systems assessments and software selection projects
Assess current state workflows and validate future state alignment with project objectives
Translate clinical and business requirements into effective technical solutions
Identify and solve complex business integration challenges through analysis and evaluation of variable factors
Implement leading healthcare IT applications, such as Epic, Cerner, and Solventum/3M Encompass, aligned with regulatory and operational needs
Provide training and go-live support to ensure successful solution adoption
Coordinate cross-functional project delivery to meet scope, timeline, and budget goals
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Information Systems, Computer Science, Health Information Management, or related field
Minimum of two years' experience with systems implementation projects and assessments
Experience with leading electronic health records systems (e.g. Epic, Cerner, Meditech)
Direct experience with implementation of software in healthcare setting
Understanding of healthcare operations, clinical workflows, and system integration
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Travel Requirement: 25%-50% (depending on project)
Preferred Qualifications
Prior consulting experience
Active Epic Certification (multiple certifications a plus)
Familiarity with clinical documentation, revenue cycle, CRM, patient engagement, and interoperability solutions
Experience with project management tools and methodologies
Ability to lead small teams and manage multiple priorities

At RSM, an employee's pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
Compensation Range: $85,100 - $161,700Individualsselected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
