We are seeking an experienced HEALTHCARE QA INSPECTOR for a full-time position to oversee and ensure the quality and compliance of construction activities for a major hospital project in Dallas. The QA Inspector will be responsible for monitoring daily operations, conducting inspections, and verifying that all construction work meets project specifications, applicable codes, and healthcare facility standards. Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular site inspections to ensure construction activities adhere to project plans, specifications, and healthcare regulations.
  • Review and interpret architectural, structural, MEP, and civil drawings to verify field installations.
  • Monitor and report on workmanship and material quality across all trades.
  • Verify that all work meets regulatory and safety standards, including Joint Commission, OSHA, NFPA, and ADA compliance.
  • Document non-conformances and coordinate corrective actions with contractors and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate and oversight of material testing conducted by Owner's third-party consultants.
  • Participate in commissioning and pre-functional testing of building systems.
  • Maintain detailed inspection records, daily logs, and QA/QC reports.
  • Coordinate with construction managers, engineers, subcontractors, and client representatives to resolve quality issues.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and hospital-specific construction standards (e.g., ICRA Infection Control Risk Assessment).
  • Assist in the development and enforcement of quality control procedures and checklists.
  • Support punch list generation and project closeout processes.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of QA/QC experience on commercial construction projects; hospital or healthcare facility experience strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of healthcare construction requirements, codes, and regulatory agencies.
  • Familiarity with construction materials, techniques, and best practices.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office, Procore, Bluebeam, and other construction management software.
  • Certification(s) such as ICC, ASQ, CQM-C, or OSHA 30-Hour Construction preferred.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment:
  • The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving machinery & mechanical parts, uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to loud noise, and outside weather conditions.
Physical Requirements:
  • The physical requirements must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Intermittent unassisted sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, stooping, crawling, pushing and lifting is required. Must be able to walk and/or stand for prolonged periods of time for at least eight hours per day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move light equipment up to 50 pounds without assistance. Must be alert to equipment in the field, occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, ability to walk on uneven ground while physically maneuvering construction sites, ability to work in extreme temperatures or humidity, and potentially work at heights.
Other Requirements:
  • Possession of a valid state of residence driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Daily travel to and from construction sites, generally within 100 miles from the home office is expected. Short term, out of town, assignments may be required. Long term, out of town, assignments may be required, with advance notice of planned dates.
  • May be required to work protracted and irregular hours to meet client's needs, including nights, overtime and weekends.
