Healthcare Mechanic - Mercy Health : Job Details

Provides a timely and effective response to unanticipated facility needs, minimizing risks to patient and team members, to maintain safety and avoid interruption of service. Performs and manages assigned tasks including preventive maintenance and on-demand work orders, on equipment and buildings, within the established time frames while meeting departmental expectations for quality of work. Monitors all areas of the building for maintenance issues including, but not limited to the building envelope (exterior siding system, windows, doors) etc.; recognizing problems and reporting to appropriate facilities staff grounds related issues or concerns, i.e. sidewalk issues, asphalt paving problems etc. Monitors, maintains and troubleshoots problems with the utility system within the building to ensure the proper and optimum operation including plumbing, mechanical, electrical, life safety and energy management systems.
