The ideal candidate will be responsible for project planning, development, execution, and management of technical documentation. They will directly handle design, translate client requirements from concept to completion, and lead project teams while mentoring junior designers.
Responsibilities
Design healthcare interior projects and participate in all phases of design development.Collaborate with clients, new and existing.Apply knowledge of finish options and proper applications according to project budgets.Prepare presentations and design drawings.Coordinate design teams.Develop detailed design concepts, functional requirements, and project design criteria.Understand architectural design processes and integrate interior design concepts for healthcare facilities.Coordinate integration of engineering systems into overall project design.Respond to technical implications of design decisions.Support firm and project goals of excellence in design, execution, and sustainability.Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience with healthcare projects from planning through construction administration.
- Thorough knowledge of interior architectural practices, programming, planning, codes, materials, and construction methods for healthcare facilities.
- Knowledge of structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for project coordination.
- Understanding of current codes.
- Strong healthcare project portfolio.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Self-motivated with a focus on meeting deadlines and improving processes.
- Ability to coordinate with architecture consultants and engineers.
- Knowledge of building systems, ADA compliance, and Florida Building Codes.
- Competency in interior design specifications, calculations, standards, and building codes.
- Collaborative work ethic.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in architecture or interior design.
- Florida-licensed Interior Designer; LEED-AP certification is a plus.
- 10+ years of healthcare interior design experience.
- Proficiency in Revit, 3DMax, Rhino, Sketch-up, hand sketching, and AutoCAD.
