Join our dedicated Healthcare team in leading the culinary and dietary services at a large acute care hospital in Monroeville. As the Healthcare Food Service Director, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing patient satisfaction, improving clinical outcomes, and fostering team engagement. What you'll be doing:

  • Oversee daily foodservice operations for patients, staff, visitors, and catering.
  • Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, including Joint Commission, CMS, and health codes.
  • Manage departmental budgets and inventory controls to achieve financial targets.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team: supervisors, diet aides, cooks, and clinical nutrition staff.
  • Collaborate with clinical dietitians to meet nutritional standards and patient needs.
  • Implement strategies to enhance patient satisfaction, meal quality, and employee engagement.
  • Lead audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work alongside hospital administration and medical staff to align foodservice goals with broader operational objectives.

What we're looking for:

Must-haves:

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience in hospital foodservice, including at least 3 years in acute care settings.
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Service Management, Hospitality, Dietetics, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical nutrition, therapeutic diets, sanitation, and food safety regulations.
  • Proven experience in managing large teams effectively.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets, optimize productivity, and lead change initiatives.

Nice-to-haves:

  • CDM or RD credential.
  • ServSafe and/or HACCP certification.

Compensation Range: $80,000 per year
