Healthcare Assistant I - Dignity Health : Job Details

The primary role and the majority of the shift for this position is to transport patients via wheel chair, gurney and/or bed between hospital departments. This is a physical job requiring the ability to push, pull and assist in the transporting and/or lifting of patients on a daily basis. This position will be responsible for effectively communicating with Clinical staff to evaluate, document and verbally report patient status and condition, as well as completing S-Bar Ticket to Ride documentation. Additional duties include, but are not limited to clerical functions requiring basic computer skills as needed. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the Organization. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values.
