The HSE Engineer will support the execution of HSE (Health, Saftey and Environment) deliverables for a major capital project within the Pharma Division. The role involves working closely with the HSE Manager and cross-functional teams to ensure safety and environmental standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the HSE Manager to implement safety design requirements and ensure all HSE deliverables are met at each phase of the project.
- Use the HSE project checklist to identify and track safety-related tasks and ensure their timely completion.
- Review project designs and documentation, ensuring adherence to HSE regulations and local safety standards.
- Conduct safety risk assessments and lead safety discussions with subject matter experts across various disciplines, including fire safety, process safety, industrial hygiene, and biosafety.
- Oversee incident reporting and investigations, ensuring compliance with internal safety protocols and providing regular updates on safety deliverables.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in an engineering, safety, or related field.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in safety management, specifically in capital project environments.
- Strong understanding of HSE regulations, safety design, and construction safety practices.
- Experience with hazard analysis and safety reviews, as well as handling safety-related incident investigations.
- Previous pharmaceutical experience is strongly preferred.
