Job Description
We are seeking a Clinical Quality Compliance Specialist to lead on-site evaluations of healthcare practices across the East Bay region. This role ensures that medical facilities and clinical documentation meet state-mandated quality and accessibility standards. The ideal candidate will have strong experience conducting clinical audits and site reviews under California's health care regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently conduct facility site surveys, medical record reviews, and accessibility audits
- Interpret and apply California regulatory standards related to clinical care quality
- Generate reports, issue corrective action plans, and track resolution in alignment with compliance timelines
- Serve as a resource for internal teams and providers on state quality guidelines and review criteria
- Manage data tracking, documentation, and audit readiness activities
- Collaborate cross-functionally with departments to support process improvement and survey preparedness
- Maintain certification through continuing education and training attendance
Must-Have Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience performing site or chart reviews under California's Managed Care Quality guidelines
- Certified as a California state-approved Site Reviewer or Master Trainer
- Active CA license as a physician, nurse, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant
- 3+ years of leadership or team oversight experience
- Proficient in data systems such as spreadsheets and audit tracking tools
- Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field with 7+ years of experience, or 10+ years of relevant healthcare operations experience
Other Details
- Travel required up to 25% across nearby areas for on-site reviews
