We are currently looking for a Full Time Health Plan Data Analyst to join our Health Plan Data Unit team located at the Carl Albert Service Center working 8:00AM-5:00PM - Mo Tu We Th Fr. Summary: This position provides strategic leadership in identifying, researching, recommending, implementing, and communicating initiatives to enhance cost efficiency, improve the employee healthcare benefit experience, and align with industry trends and benchmarks. The Sr. Manager Healthcare Strategies plays a key role in driving innovation and optimization across all aspects of the organization's employee healthcare benefit offerings. Responsibilities: * Develop and manage the health plan budget process, ensuring accurate and timely forecasts of future costs. * Compile, validate, and format data for budget planning, forecasting, and utilization analysis. * Prepares ad hoc reports * Analyze healthcare claims data to identify trends, cost drivers, and actionable insights for strategic decision-making. * Generate and present detailed narrative and visual financial reports, including budget variances, trend analyses, and future projections. * Perform benchmarking, predictive modeling, and return-on-investment (ROI) assessments for healthcare initiatives. * Create and evaluate financial ratios and metrics for proposed programs or partnerships. * Conduct detailed variance analysis and collaborate with budget owners to explain discrepancies. * Ensure the integrity and accuracy of data extracted from host systems, applying data transformation and validation techniques. * Prepare financial analyses and projections to assess the feasibility of new plan ventures. * Monitor strategic initiative outcomes and recommend adjustments to enhance revenue, adjust premiums, and manage costs. * Develop dynamic reporting using advanced Excel techniques and data visualization software (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). * Ensure compliance with privacy laws and organizational guidelines to protect sensitive patient information. * Provide actionable insights and recommendations to leadership through concise and impactful presentations. * Keeps current and aware of national trends as well as future needs and priorities * Attends all meetings, trainings and workshops as directed * Performs all other duties as assigned Competencies: Essential: * Demonstrated ability to analyze healthcare data, identify trends and suggest improvements * Able to follow instructions, both written and oral * Able to adhere to all scheduling and attendance requirements * Honesty, truthfulness, reliability, accountability * Prioritizes, meets deadlines and works independently in a high-pressure environment and uses appropriate judgement in upward communication regarding assignments * Able to read, understand, apply, and retain knowledge of Chickasaw Nation, departmental, divisional and all other rules, regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines * Applied knowledge of medical coding and billing guidelines * Must have knowledge of and willingness to expand skills for data visualization platform(s), such as Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, etc. * Knowledge of a variety of programming and/or scripting languages (eg. SQL, SSRS, SSIS, XML, Java, VBP, HTML etc.) * Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as financial ratios, allocations, and other metrics with ease * Possess expert knowledge of applying business analysis for technology solutions * Ability to manage major projects - planning, proposal, pro forma, resources (people, funding, etc.) with large scope or significant impact (i.e. crosses multiple departments, all or most facilities, etc.) or multiple simultaneous moderate projects * Able to verbally communicate in a professional and positive manner with other team members, departments, guests and management Skills: Essential: * Basic Computer skills * Advanced skills using Microsoft Office Suite of products Experience: Essential: * 4 years directly related experience Education: Nonessential: * Masters Degree in directly related field Nonessential: * Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field Credentials: Essential: * Standard Driver's License * Pass general background check Nonessential: * Certified Health Data Analyst * Graduate certificate in health analytics Working Conditions: Essential: * Pass pre-employment drug test
