Two (2) Full-Time Health Insurance NavigatorsThe Healthcare Consortium is looking for two people who want to join our friendly andwelcoming team in a flexible and supportive workplace.Currently, we are seeking to fill two full-time (35 hours per week) non-exempt positions in ourNavigator Program. Our Navigators help individuals and families in Columbia and GreeneCounties to apply for health insurance through the New York State of Health, NY's healthinsurance marketplace. Since providing this help often eases the worry and confusion thatpeople have about health insurance and improves their ability to get and stay healthy, it can bedeeply rewarding work.The role involves working with people both in person and by phone, primarily from an officelocated in Hudson but also from libraries, town halls, churches, and other locations in Columbiaand Greene Counties. Travel to those locations must be in one's own personal vehicle and willbe reimbursed at the federal rate ($.70/mile in 2025). The role also involves working someevenings and weekends, though this is only done occasionally and with ample advance notice.The Healthcare Consortium is seeking applicants who are motivated to help others, curious andeager to learn, and committed to providing excellent customer service. Other qualificationsinclude a high school diploma, basic computer skills, and a valid driver's license; no specialknowledge or previous experience with health insurance is required, as extensive training willbe provided. Preference will be given to individuals who speak Spanish and/or Bangla.The starting wage for this non-exempt position is $22.00/hour with a rich benefit package.
