Health First Patient Observer - Health First : Job Details

The Health First Patient Observer is fully engaged in providing Quality/ No Harm, Customer Service and Stewardship by ensuring quality, timeliness and effectiveness of stroke care delivery for HRMC; by providing supervision/observation of a patient when he/she requires a Form 52: Baker Act Declaration, Suicide Precautions are indicated, or any time it is determined that a patients safety may be jeopardized without supervision/observation. PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITES - Immediately reports clear, concise, pertinent information to the charge nurse or nurse assigned to patient that relates to the patients condition; immediately alerts nursing staff of any impending safety issues. Remains alert to the patient during the entire shift, respects patients personal belongings, and never leaves the patient unattended unless approved by the patients nurse. Utilizes clear and effective communication skills in professional interactions with all health care associates, patients and families.
