California Childrens Services operates within the Nursing Division of Public Health and is administered as a partnership between the County of Humboldt and the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS). The HCSW position works collaboratively with a small team of Public Health Nurses, a Medical Office Assistant, and the Program Services Coordinator to ensure that children and youth ages 0 21 with rare and complex, chronic medical conditions have access to high-quality specialty care. The HCSW position also provides support to the CCS Medical Therapy Unit and the Pediatric Cardiology Outreach Clinic.
