Salary: $94,682 or $48.56 per hour

Contribute to the development of New York State behavioral programs and

policies using data analysis.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Propose and conduct research projects to evaluate program effectiveness and identify healthcare issues in managed care systems.
• Develop and maintain information and reporting systems necessary to evaluate performance of New York State Medicaid managed care plans.
• Assist in the development of key financial documentation for managed care plans and budget analysis for new and redesigned behavioral health programs and services.
• Develop data and reporting systems to evaluate managed care performance.
• Contribute to the development of Medicaid programs and policies using data analytics.
• Supervise entry level data analysts/interns.
• Construct performance measures in accordance with industry-standard tools.
• Design analytic dashboards and visualizations based on requirements of various users.
• Collaborate and communicate with other divisions within the agency to identify and investigate data infrastructure issues.
• Assist in the development of financial policies and analysis for managed care plans.
• Participate in research initiatives to evaluate program effectiveness.
• Collect and synthesize relevant academic literature, create analytic plans, conduct statistical analysis and communicate complex research findings to technical and general audiences through presentations and written reports.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A master's degree in a closely related field.
• 24 months' experience in a closely related field.
