Health Assistants - Robbinsdale Area Schools : Job Details

Assist the LSN/ LPN to implement professional school nursing roles. Administer medication to students as delegated by the LSN and in accordance with district policies and procedures. Assist with school health office functions and their planning and preparation (e.g. vision/hearing screening) as directed by the LSN. Willingness to lift, carry and physically manage as necessary. Clerical tasks such as record keeping, computer input and filing. Able to attend work regularly and report to work in a timely manner. Will be trained to: perform selected emergency procedures and student specific nursing tasks (changing students, supporting center based classrooms with personal hygiene needs, tube feed students) Other duties as assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Current first aid certification. Current CPR certification. Computer and other clerical skills. Ability to work well with students, staff and parents. Able to attend work regularly and report to work in a timely manner.
