Job Description :

The EHS technician is responsible for implementing and maintaining a comprehensive EHS program developed to ensure a safe working environment, compliance with regulatory requirements, and the protection of our employees and the environment. This role is critical in fostering a culture of safety and sustainability throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with EHS policies and procedures that comply with local, state, and federal regulations. Ensure that these policies are effectively communicated to all employees.

Identify potential hazards and conduct regular risk assessments.

Implement risk mitigation strategies to prevent workplace accidents and incidents.

Conduct training programs for employees on EHS practices, emergency response, hazard identification, and the proper use of safety equipment.

Investigate workplace accidents, injuries, and environmental incidents. Identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Conducts regular audits and inspections to monitor compliance and identify areas for improvement.

Help coordinate regular drills and ensure that all employees are prepared to respond effectively in the event of an emergency.

Maintain accurate records of EHS activities, incidents, and compliance efforts.

Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in EHS practices and drive the implementation of best practices across the organization.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree, Associate's degree, or equivalent certification in Occupational Health and Safety and Enviromental Science.

3+ years of experience in an EHS or related role, preferably within a manufacturing environment(s) or DoD.

Proven track record of implementing EHS programs and initiatives.

Familiarity with environmental management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and occupational health and safety standards (e.g., OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

A proactive and detail-oriented approach, with a strong commitment to safety and environmental stewardship.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work in various environments, including office settings, production floors, and outdoor sites.

Occasional travel may be required to support multiple sites or attend training and conferences.
