Main Purpose

Tradebe is looking for a reliable Health and Safety professional for our Millington, TN team. In partnership with Site Management and reporting to the Director of Health & Safety, the selected candidate must be capable of ensuring that everyone at the site complies with applicable health and safety regulatory requirements, national and regional policies, as well as implements local programs and practices. The selected candidate must have excellent attention to detail, will look for areas of opportunity and lead/execute continuous improvement initiatives and safety programs.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Evaluates and executes health and safety plans, programs, and procedures in accordance with legal requirements and company policies and standards to prioritize and reduce risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Promotes and maintains a safety culture through effective communication and collaboration, engaging employees and external agencies to ensure comprehensive health and safety measures.
  • Provides training and education programs for employees on safety protocols, emergency procedures, and use of safety equipment.
  • Coordinates and supports training efforts, including safety new hire orientation, user-level training, and periodic refresher training.
  • Conducts regular inspections of the workplace environments, equipment and work practices to identify and address safety concerns and ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations.
  • Investigates workplace incidents, accidents, or near misses and analyzes root causes to implement corrective actions and prevent recurrence.
  • Assist with the coordination, organization, and implementation of successful Safety Committees for all major facilities.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA and a professional certification relating to Health and Safety is preferred.
  • Candidates must have proven experience as a Health and Safety Coordinator, Specialist, or Manager with a minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • A deep understanding of Health and Safety Federal and local regulatory requirements and supporting consensus standards is a necessity.
  • A good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment with the ability to produce reports and develop relevant practices is required.
  • An outstanding attention to detail with intuitive observation and investigation abilities and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills is required.
