Founded in 2023 and backed by $1.5M in seed funding, they've quickly established themselves as experts in their niche, saving founders thousands of dollars, hundreds of hours, and countless headaches during the wind-down process. With a talented team of 10 professionals based in NYC, they're revolutionizing how companies handle closures, state withdrawals, and liquidations.

What You Will Do

• Oversee all corporate tax aspects related to the client shutdown process
• Manage the preparation and filing of all final federal and state tax returns
• Address tax-related questions and issues directly with clients
• Coordinate the withdrawal of clients from foreign qualified states
• Collaborate closely with Customer Success and Product teams
• Build scalable processes to improve overall efficiency
• Track and analyze relevant metrics to optimize tax operations
• Develop and lead a high-performing tax team

Ideal Candidate Background

• 5-15 years of experience in corporate taxation
• Active EA or CPA license
• Expert knowledge of corporate 1120 returns
• Proven ability to provide tax guidance during complex wind-downs and acquisitions
• Demonstrated leadership experience building and managing teams
• Track record of streamlining tax processes and workflows

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the technology or startup sectors
• Background in financial services industry
• Knowledge of multi-state taxation issues
• Familiarity with tax implications of company liquidations
