Head of Service Delivery – Specialty Insurance Carrier (Fully Remote)Reporting to: Chief Operations Officer (COO)
Our client, a rapidly growing Specialty insurance carrier, is seeking a strategic and operationally-minded Head of Service Delivery to drive excellence across the underwriting lifecycle-from submission intake through post-bind servicing. This high-impact leadership role will play a critical part in shaping and optimizing underwriting support functions while driving digital transformation and enhancing the customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and continuous improvement of end-to-end underwriting operations.
- Drive automation, AI adoption, and digital workflow implementation to improve operational efficiency and service quality.
- Build scalable processes that support business growth and meet evolving partner needs.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of approximately 16 Underwriting Assistants.
- Collaborate closely with Underwriting and cross-functional teams to identify bottlenecks, re-engineer workflows, and deliver service excellence.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- A minimum of 7 years of Property & Casualty (P&C) underwriting experience, preferably in the Excess & Surplus (E&S) market.
- Proven success in leading operational or call center teams, with a focus on automation, process redesign, and scalable operations.
- Strong business acumen and the confidence to challenge the status quo when necessary.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
