SWBC is seeking a talented individual to be results-driven Head of Sales to lead and expand our institutional fixed income sales division. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy, managing key institutional relationships, and building a high-performing sales team. The ideal candidate is both a strategic leader and a hands-on sales professional with deep expertise in fixed income products and institutional client engagement. - Develops and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for institutional fixed income products.
- Identifies market opportunities and drive revenue growth across institutional client segments.
- Collaborates with executive leadership to align sales goals with overall business objectives.
- Recruits, trains, and mentors a high-performing sales team.
- Establish performance metrics and provide ongoing coaching and development.
- Fosters a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Actively manage and grow a portfolio of institutional clients, including asset managers, banks, insurance companies, and pension funds.
- Lead complex sales cycles, from prospecting to closing, with a focus on long-term relationship building.
- Delivers tailored investment solutions and insights to meet client needs.
- Stays abreast of market trends, regulatory developments, and competitive landscape.
- Partners with product and trading teams to ensure alignment between client needs and product offerings.
- Represents the firm at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
Serious candidates will possess the minimum qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
- Ten (10) years of experience in institutional sales, with a strong focus on fixed income products.
- Proven track record of sales leadership and revenue generation.
- Deep understanding of fixed income markets, products (e.g., treasuries, corporates, municipals, structured products), and institutional client needs.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- FINRA Series 7 and 63 (or ability to obtain promptly).
