We are seeking a strategic Head of R&D to lead a reagent development group within a globally recognized IVD organization. This role is ideal for a leader passionate about scientific innovation, talent development, and cross-functional collaboration.

In this role, you will lead a multidisciplinary team of scientists and technical professionals, with a primary focus on developing assay reagents. You'll be responsible for defining and executing the reagent R&D strategy, ensuring alignment with broader business goals and regulatory requirements.

You will collaborate across functions to transform R&D excellence into scalable, high-impact outcomes and champion continuous improvement through data-driven decision-making.

As the Head of R&D for Reagents, you will serve as both a technical and functional leader, accountable for achieving departmental and corporate objectives efficiently and effectively.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Biochemistry, Enzymology, Molecular Biology, or a related life sciences field.
• 7–10+ years of R&D leadership experience in IVD product development
• Proven success leading and scaling scientific teams, especially in legacy transformation or growth-stage organizations.
• Track record of fostering high-performing, inclusive team cultures rooted in transparency, curiosity, and collaboration.
• Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, communicate vision, and align stakeholders across technical and executive functions.
• Strong strategic and operational mindset with a passion for mentoring scientific talent and nurturing innovation at all levels.
