We are a rapidly growing organization in the Paramus, NJ area. We are seeking to hire a Head of Quality & Compliance to join our team of professionals. The ideal candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following responsibilities:
The Head of Quality & Compliance will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality and compliance systems across global operations. This senior-level role is responsible for ensuring adherence to ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 standards, as well as OSHA regulations. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with deep experience in building robust quality systems and delivering both short-term improvements and long-term quality strategies. This role requires a hands-on leader who can influence at all levels and drive a culture of excellence and compliance throughout the organization.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead global quality and compliance strategies aligned with business goals.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 management systems.
- Ensure company operations comply with all applicable OSHA standards and global regulatory requirements.
- Design and execute short-term and long-term quality roadmaps, focusing on continuous improvement, product reliability, and customer satisfaction.
- Establish and monitor KPIs for product quality, process efficiency, audit readiness, and compliance metrics.
- Lead internal and external quality audits, manage audit processes, and ensure timely resolution of non-conformances.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and R&D to embed quality principles across the product lifecycle.
- Oversee training programs to reinforce a culture of quality awareness and compliance throughout the organization.
- Direct root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes for quality incidents.
- Manage and develop a high-performing global quality and compliance team.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field (Master's Degree preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in quality management within manufacturing, preferably in tools, industrial products, or a related sector.
- In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 standards and certification processes.
- Strong familiarity with OSHA regulations and global EHS standards.
- Proven ability to design and lead both tactical and strategic quality initiatives.
- Demonstrated success in managing global teams and driving cross-functional alignment.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire at all organizational levels.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
