We are looking for a Head of Pharmacovigilance Innovation to join our Global Pharmacovigilance team, based in Brussels (Belgium), Slough (UK), or Raleigh (US).

Reporting to the Head Vigilance, Systems & Innovation, the Head of Pharmacovigilance Innovation will drive the transformation of the PV System, leading to more efficient, high-quality, and compliant processes, technologies, and business models to enhance product safety and support our purpose to ensure a positive benefit-risk balance for patients.

This role involves developing and evolving the innovation roadmap for PV, leveraging emerging technologies, optimizing workflows, and improving data-driven decision-making, focusing on measurable outcomes like efficiency, compliance, and patient safety.

You will report to the Head of Vigilance, Systems & Innovation.

• Develop and implement the innovation strategy for pharmacovigilance.
• Innovate to address gaps in processes, technologies, and competencies, improving efficiency, quality, and compliance.
• Manage and update the innovation roadmap for pharmacovigilance.
• Evaluate potential of emerging technologies and processes.
• Build networks across UCB and with external partners for collaborative innovations.
• Create tools to develop relevant competencies in safety case processing, signal management, and supporting technologies.
• Provide expertise in process improvement.

• Bachelor's degree required; higher degrees preferred.
• Significant experience in pharma, biotech, or medical devices.
• Strong change management skills and ability to foster continuous improvement.
• Experience with emerging technologies to enhance processes.
• Project management skills for prioritizing initiatives.
• Financial acumen for business cases and value assessments.
