About the Role

You will be responsible for establishing, leading, and continuously improving operational excellence across the U.S. business. This position plays a pivotal role in aligning operational practices with the company's global standards while adapting them to the specific requirements of the U.S. market. You will ensure that our day-to-day operations run seamlessly, while also looking ahead to implement innovative solutions, technologies, and strategies that drive efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and exceptional customer service.

This is a full-time, hybrid role based in our New York office, reporting directly to the Global Operations Director, and working closely with senior leadership, sales, customer service, logistics and production teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and refine operational principles, policies, and processes that enhance efficiency, scalability, and consistency across the U.S. business.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage technology and AI to improve workflows, reduce errors, and enhance productivity. Monitor key operational metrics to ensure ongoing performance improvement.
  • Manage and negotiate contracts with U.S.-based couriers, fulfillment partners, and third-party vendors to secure favorable terms, consistent service, and cost control.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships to ensure external partners deliver to agreed service levels.
  • Service Delivery & Customer Experience
  • Support the delivery of a best-in-class service model to internal teams and external clients.
  • Partner with sales and logistics teams to ensure timely order fulfillment, client satisfaction, and issue resolution.
  • Team & Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Provide operational support and leadership to logistics, operations, and sales support teams, ensuring effective scheduling, planning, and execution of day-to-day activities.
  • Act as a key liaison between the U.S. office and global headquarters to ensure alignment and seamless communication.
  • Regulatory & Compliance Oversight
  • Ensure adherence to U.S. legal, regulatory, and internal compliance requirements across operations, logistics, HR-related processes, and safety standards.
  • Partner with the Finance team to manage operational budgets, review monthly costs, and approve invoices.
  • Drive efficiency initiatives that improve cost control while maintaining service quality.
  • Oversee the U.S. fleet of vehicles, ensuring compliance with regulations, timely servicing, and safety standards.
  • Administer all insurance-related activities, including claims, renewals, and risk management.
  • Oversee periodic inventory checks and audits, ensuring accurate reporting and safeguarding of company assets.

  • Create and maintain operational dashboards and reports to provide leadership with visibility into performance, risks, and opportunities.

Key Skills and Qualifications

Education: Degree-level education preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.

Experience: 3–5 years minimum in a similar operations leadership role, ideally within a high-touch or design-focused business.

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency with MS Excel, with the ability to analyze and model data to inform decision-making.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, ideally SAP, in managing inventory, finance, and operations workflows.
  • Familiarity with LEAN manufacturing and Kaizen principles, with proven application to improve efficiency.
  • Strong awareness of emerging technologies, including AI and automation tools, with the ability to assess, pilot, and embed them into operations to enhance scalability, accuracy, and customer experience

Project Management:

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver complex projects on time and within scope.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and adapt quickly to change.
  • Highly self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Leadership & Communication:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
  • Confident in managing and motivating teams, providing clarity, feedback, and support.
  • Comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders and influencing decision-making.
