The Head Of Media Relations is responsible for enhancing and protecting the global reputation of Northern Trust through strategic media engagement and communications leadership. This individual will lead a team of media professionals and oversee the planning and execution of external communications efforts that support the corporation's business objectives, promote its thought leadership, and safeguard its brand through proactive and responsive media strategies. This includes managing complex and sensitive subject areas, leading crisis and issues communications, and fostering collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and executive leadership. The role also leads content development, media performance measurement, and external visibility initiatives such as awards and executive speaking opportunities.

Salary Range: $137,400 - 240,400 USD
Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
